Young Israel

Young Israel Synagogue of Dallas is a member of the National Council of Young Israel (NCYI). We are a vibrant community of Jewish families and individuals from around the world. Our rabbi is Rabbi Ronen Shimon who served in the IDF achieveing the rank of Sargent. He also served as a paramedic in his combat unit. Rabbi Shimon's love for people combined with his great leadership skills provide a solid foundation for Young Israel Synagogue of Dallas.

​From 2002 - 2005, Rabbi Shimon taught Judaic study classes in Chumash, Talmud, and Mishneh, as well as coordinating and teaching special classes relative to Jewish life in the land of Israel. Rabbi Shimon also taught as the Sheliach for all Judaic studies and Hebrew languange classes taught at Hasten Hebrew Academy of Indianapolis. He was also a special education counselor at Hasten Hebrew Academy. Rabbi Ronen Shimon has taught at many yeshivot and has numerous certifications.

The Rabbi is dedicated to not only helping the poor but also bringing individuals closer to G-d through Torah study and education. His warm smile will welcome you and his in depth lessons in Judaism will enlighten and enrich your life.
